"Avant Décembre" is a brief, gut-wrenching arrangement of the main theme "Chorale Mineur" from the Crumpler Clarinet Concerto No. 1.0. The piece is orchestrated for Classical Guitar, Harp and Strings, with a touch of Clarinet reminiscent of the Incantation, featuring the composer himself, Bryan A. Crumpler, on Clarinet. The work is intended to be a breath of fresh, cool, winter air, yet manages to exude a sense of velvety warmth through the comforting sounds of luscious strings as the guitar tickles its way through the piece like frosted dewdrops, floating as do snowflakes in the wind. The initial 2-minute version was deemed too tantalizing for many to be so abrupt, thus, an extended version has been created to allow listeners to truly feel the sense of an approaching winter, which this piece embodies. For music enthusiasts just dying to play this work of art, scores and parts will be available for purchase soon!
