about

"Roulette de L'Amour" (or Love Roulette) is about Cupid going on a quest for love for St. Valentine's Day. Sadly, he's faced with a moral dilemma: he can't go around shooting just anyone he wants to fall in love with him with his arrow... which would be unfair... so he plays a game of Love Roulette instead to figure out who will be his Valentine. Follow along on this 3 minute musical journey!

The piece is written for a chamber orchestra of 17 performers (2 Fl, 2 Ob, 2 Cl, 2 Bsn, 4 Fr Horns, plus 5 strings) and is inspired in part by Sergei Prokofiev's "Dance of the Pagan Monster" from the Scythian Warrior suite.
